DIGICEL GROUP: Launches Text Directory Inquiry Service in Cayman
Digicel Group has launched text directory inquiry service Ecay (3229) in the Cayman Islands, Cayman Net News report.

It lets Digicel subscribers find any business telephone number or address in Cayman by sending a text from a mobile phone, Blackberry or personal digital assistant. The client can type the name of the firm into a text message and send it to ECAY (3229), and receive a text with the desired phone number.
Ecay lets users search for phone numbers and addresses by business category by typing the kind of business and sending it to ECAY (3229). The users will receive the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of two relevant firms, Cayman Net states.
Digicel Ltd. is a wireless services provider in the Caribbean region founded in 2000, and controlled by Denis O'Brien. The company started operations in Jamaica in April 2001 and now offers GSM mobile services in Caribbean countries including Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Aruba, Grenada, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman, and Curacao among others. Digicel finished FY2005 with 1.722 million total subscribers -- 97% pre-paid -- estimated market share of 67% and revenues and EBITDA of US$478 million and US$155 million, respectively.
